  1. Hey guys am I supposed to receive some sort of Medical clearance letter or something before the start of training?
  2. Curious; is there some common/frequent reason why people fail out of training? Is it just "they suck at driving in general" and then they have that "suckiness" compounded by having to drive a big ol' city bus? Bad attitudes? Absent mindedness? Anyone chime in here? Might be some things others in training could look out for.
  3. Meaning ... you think no way we even have that long? I don't think it'll take that long either. I'm thinking 10 years max.
  4. Hey you guys ever wonder/worry about what automation will do to this job in the future? From what I have been reading TTC has already had (very) minimal discussions about it, and some say that automated buses will be in operation in 10-15 years (approx.). Automation is inevitable (already being tested and rolled out in other cities) and I wonder if this industry is ready for the rude awakening that will come someday. I was just wondering how long of a career those of us entering the game now will have until we get told one day that our jobs are no longer a necessity.
  5. Question regarding references: When they say "references within 5 years", are they saying you can PICK references within the past 5 years OR do you HAVE TO list all your Supervisors/Managers within the past 5 years? If there is a Supervisor/Manager you'd rather not list because of XYZ reason, do you HAVE to list him/her?

  7. Hey Gang, so I was contacted for an interview and saw that they want you to being an updated resume with your ENTIRE work history. Did you guys/gals list every.single.job.you.ever.had.ever.ever ? I'm not exactly "young" so my work history is extensive. I'm just worried that it might make me look bad, or if I forgot to list some job I had 15 years ago that they'll bounce me out of the process for that. Typically, in many other industries when applying for jobs you would craft your resume to include a work history that makes you look good as a candidate, not the crap job you had 10/15 years ago
