  1. This morning (3/2/2021), a 29-foot Gillig BRT (4102) was involved in a bus hijacking this morning while on Route 59 to Valley Fair. The suspect has been arrested and has been booked into Santa Clara County jail. News story from KPIX: https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2021/03/02/santa-clara-vta-bus-hijacking-scott-blvd-monroe-fremont-street/ Here is some evidence about what route 4102 was on and the last time it was seen (ignore the "59 to Baypointe Station" part because the bus never finished its trip to Baypointe Station. 0209 finished the 8:19 AM Route 59 trip to Baypointe S

  5. Golden Gate Transit 1966 on Route 40 (apologies for that tree branch in the way) (Taken 2/15/2021). Gillig Hybrids are now only limited to the 40 and are using buses 1957 to 1967 only, while 1901 to 1956 are currently inactive due to the pandemic. 7. You're welcome for the last response. The double deckers have some clearance issues in the tunnels that connect Oakland with Alameda because they are very low in height, and there would be some clearance issues with the double deckers going up very steep hills on some streets in East Oakland and in Berkeley. The MCI D45CRT LE motor coaches are intended to replace the current MCI D4500s in service and would add on to the fleet with the exisiting 6100 Series Gilligs in service. The order is supposed to be up to 45 Motor Coaches but currently there is funding for only 36 of them (its wi
  8. All 15 double deckers are to be used on Lines J, L, LA, 701 and 702. Some double deckers have been spotted on BART Shuttles and occasionally on some of the 200 series routes.
  9. San Francisco MUNI 8898, a 2016 New Flyer XDE40, is seen here on the new 15 Bayview/Hunters Point Express.
  10. Service changes were made on January 23rd and includes some new and old routes that have been reinstated or introduced because of the pandemic. Here is 2016 XDE40 #8814 on the NEW Route 15 to 3rd St & Oakdale Ave
  11. Because of the service changes on January 17th, SamTrans now controls the 398 every day of the week. Here is 2009 Gllig BRT #440 (out of South Base) on the 398 to Redwood City on 1/23/2021 (This photo was taken by me, and was taken by following Social Distancing Guidelines and I was wearing a Mask at the time).
  12. All artics are based at North Division because the proximity to the 22 and 522 are not far from the yard. And on schedules, some 522 buses start El Camino & Showers which is not far from North Division. Chaboya and Cerone are just 40-foot bus yards. There were artics previously on the 523 (in late 2019). Due to clearance issues at Lockheed Martin Transit Center, the 523 is all 40-foot buses. No reports of artics running previously on the 23 or 66.
  13. 2014 XDE60 #4301 on the 522 Rapid (12/2/2020) (This photo was taken by me, and was taken by following Social Distancing Guidelines and I was wearing a Mask at the time).
  14. My First AC Transit Photo of 2021 2013 XD60 #2207 on Line O (1/18/2021). (Most of the 2013 XD60s have returned to East Oakland with the transfer of the 2018 1600 Series Gilligs to Hayward). (This photo was taken by me, and was taken by following Social Distancing Guidelines and I was wearing a Mask at the time).
  15. So MUNI Previously had Twin Vision Headsigns and since they went out of business, Luminator has taken over operations ever since with the Spectrum line of Headsigns and displays. When the buses get refurbished they will have the new Luminator headsigns.
