    Paperbus Thread

Here's a sneak peak of the final buses. These are the simplified version of each bus. I will make a highly detailed version of each bus that will included 3D wheels, duallys, mirrors, doors, exhausts, mudflaps, bellows, a/c units, slanted windshields, trim, etc. It will be a tricky project but I want to get the most detail out of these paperbuses. These are some of the buses NJT had circa 2000. These have all since been retired but certainly not forgotten. 1980 Grumman 870-B 1985 Volvo B10M 1989 Flxible Metro-B 1994 Flxible Metro-D 1995 NovaBus RTS-A 1999 NovaBus RTS-B 2000 NovaBus RTS 30FT There will be many more NJT paperbuses in the near future.

I usually use photo paper. It's a little more sturdy and it gives the bus a clean, shiny, brand-new look to it. The only downside is that the paper becomes yellowish after a while. That's what happened to a Flxible I had dangling in my locker lol.

[WIP-Updated] Here it is folks! Ex-NJT 1985 Volvo B10M. It took me all weekend to make this but hopefully it pays off. This bus is still WIP as i'm sure i'll keep finding something to fix until its perfect.

I started experimenting around and I added extra parts to my test Flxible. IDK if it works. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can put this model together and send me some feedback. If it works, then I'll incorporate this into my other buses.

I'm sorry for not giving proper credit. All credit goes to Andy Chow from Paper Bus Connection. http://www.paperbuses.com/usa/ These are the 2 base models that I used for these buses: I took various bits and pieces from a couple other buses on the same website then and I did some editing of existing parts and finally, I created the NJT classic livery. I don't know if i'm making things worse or not but it's certainly not my intention and I don't mean to offend anyone. Again I apologize for not giving proper credit. Also, I don't understand the whole thing about structural modification being a "big taboo." Maybe most buses, but the RTS has a modular design where each section of the bus was put together in 5 foot sections. There shouldn't be a problem with making them 40, 35, or 30ft. That was the whole point of the design when General Motors came out with the RTS. This bus should be exempt from that rule provided you know what you're doing when making those modifications. I just finished making a Ex-NJT 30ft Nova and I got each little detail from the real thing. Compare these two and see for yourself.

Well, I did say I edited them lol. That's different from actually making them from scratch.

    Paperbus Thread

Hey guys, I'm new to the paperbus thread. I saw a lot of excellent paperbus models on this thread and I wanted to make some contribution to the best of my ability, so I edited some buses using Paint and Paint.NET. Here are a few Ex-NJT Flxibles. These took me hours to create and I looked at countless pictures from CPTDB, TTMG, BusTalk, etc to get as much details about different NJT buses. They are not the best but this is my first time doing this and I find it to be a fun hobby while I'm on my downtime. They aren't done yet, but after putting the 3 NJT stripes, I felt that it looked great the way it is so I will release them like this and I will post a completed version later. I also have blank models if anyone is interested and I'm currently working on NJT Nova RTS and other NJT Flxibles. These are the following buses: 1980 Grumman 870B (Acquired 1985-86) 1989 Flxible Metro-B 1994 Flxible Metro-D (AC Unit Included) (Note: These are outdated, see my next post for an updated version and more buses.)
