  1. I was watching a review of a flight on YouTube that left from Gimpo Airport in Seoul, and the shuttle buses from the terminal to the parking position were D40LFs. I was pretty surprised to see these buses outside North America. Does anyone know how they ended up there, and why they may have chosen to use them instead of Korean buses or the Cobus used at other airports?
  2. Again posting here because of the lack of a thread for Toronto area. I've noticed the UTM shuttle buses have First Student numbering schemes on them. Are they contracted to operate the shuttle bus for UTM?
  3. On a school trip recently, I noticed something interesting with some of First Student's buses. KCKV7629, a 2019 Thomas Saf-T-Liner C2, was serving our trip, and on the rear, it said "Do not pass when signals flashing", like most school buses in Ontario. However, 9559, an older C2 on our trip, said "Do not pass when red lights flashing", unusually. 9559 and 9508, another bus on the trip, don't match the numbering scheme of most First buses in Ontario. What might explain this?
  4. They also renumbered all the old buses as well to numbers in the 77xx series.
  5. Interesting. We also had 9559 and 9508, buses that don't really match the First Student numbering system I've seen in Toronto. They were C2s.
  6. My school's trip was served by Attridge 631, an ex-King's Christian Academy Blue Bird Vision.
  7. My school used First Student for an orientation trip. I got KB075338 on the way back, an IC CE with a gasoline engine. Also, I spotted 200839, 091391, and 091379 on the same trip, and I haven't seen a Maxxforce 7 bus in a long time. I don't understand their new numbering system with letters and digits. Posting here because there's no First Student thread for Toronto.
  8. Why were some of the lower 7900s retired? (Not ES-0 to ES-5) I know 7936 suffered an engine fire.
  9. Really? I never knew that. I knew that the windows vibrated a lot when stopped though.
  10. It's apparently actually 8616, and the INIT unit of retired 8409 made it into 8616.
  11. Splatoon music. It's better than a lot of pop songs these days, which is weird because they're supposed to be pop songs as well.
  12. I'd restore a TTC D40LF. I have a lot of memories of how nice they were on what was then known as 45E.
