  1. One of their brand new coaches that arrived. Photo credits to Scott Drinkwalter. Unit pictured had approximately 21000km on it at the time. They got a few more after this unit, with the most recent delivery happening early January.
  2. A Friend of mine who works there has sent me 3 photos of newly delivered J4500's. Will see if I can find them again to share.
  3. The way that link reads, sounds like Denny's is closing... It sounds like a liquidator has been assigned to dennys while they wrap up business. "TAKE NOTICE that the shareholders of Denny’s Motor Coach Tours Ltd. at a special meeting duly called for the purpose and held on the 30th day of November, 2020, passed a special resolution requiring the Corporation to be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Business Corporations Act (Ontario), and appointing Joyce Susan Marshall of Rockwood, Ontario, as liquidator."
  4. Interesting. Wonder if there will be some sort of public announcement of the change.
  5. Is that one of the units they abandoned in their old London Maintenance facility?
  6. More on it here: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/companies/greyhound-for-sale-owner-first-group-says/ar-AAC8gLd?li=BBnbfcL&ocid=mailsignout&fbclid=IwAR1LpKVwb2g8mTH15JuPzI_ThBzN36qseCzo_IM8-zrwwclpoC268KObxJc
  7. Here's a video of the day they got them. One of their drivers recorded the journey to go and pick them up from the rail yard in Vancouver. They are in the last ~2 minutes of the video.
  8. Very true. Some fleets in the area that are exclusive to one brand/model, could have some very difficult challenges to overcome if a manufacturer puts out a recall, or stop usage notice on them.
  9. Looks like 1515 is now on the Mirvish Express contract. Saw this photo floating around the other day. I think it might be fleet diversity. I was talking with their safety and training manager, and he indicated that they are working on reducing the average age of the fleet, and adding some diversity in the vehicle options that they have for riders. They have 4 or 5 other MCI's in their fleet including the new ones, along with a couple Setra's and VanHools, although it still seems like they are still mostly buying Prevost's for their main fleet. They have a couple brand-new looking
  10. Looks like Badder is expanding its operations again. Announced earlier this fall that they have purchased Cherrey Bus Lines. With the purchase of Cherrey, that doesn't leave many competitors in the Southwestern Ontario Area that offer motor coaches. 2018 September 26 - announcement_7XYq.pdf

  12. Most of their newer buses I see on the road look to be stainless or aluminum alcoa rims (especially anything that is on, or was on the safeway contract). Maybe they are just changing their fleet slowly to match as needed? Would be interested to know more about this my self.
  13. I believe those were on Demo to greyhound last year at some point. I remember seeing a lot of comments on them in another thread.
  14. Reading week for a number of Universities as well. The company I work for had 5 overloads last weekend, and another 5 this weekend around S.W. Ontario
  15. Coach Canada surplussing some vehicles. Listed on AutoTrader: http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/MCI/J4500/MISSISSAUGA/Ontario/19_10497370_/?ms=heavy_trucks
  16. How was the operational relationship set, if you don't mind me asking? Was he required to provide all his own insurance, operating authority, CVOR, etc...? or did he operate partially under the company's authority's & licenses?
  17. With who you called, were they a small company that could operate fully on their own, or more of a guy & a bus deal?
  18. I'm looking at owning my own coach, and being contracted to a bus company to transport on their behalf (Similar to how a transport-truck owner/operator work's)
  19. Does anyone have any experience in being an owner/operator for a motor coach? I've heard of a few occasions where someone tried to do it, but wondering if there are any successful O/O's operating in Canada? Edit: Looking at something similar to how a transport-truck driver would be an owner/operator (they own their vehicle, and are contracted to a carrier, or multiple carriers, to operate for them/on their behalf).
  20. If anyone is interested in looking at the building and non-bus assets. Here is some more STC assets posted in a different catalog. https://www.hilcoind.com/sale/STCwebcast/lot-catalog

    St. Thomas Transit

Was out visiting a buddy who drives the transit system in St Thomas today. Due to the reliability of the 15## series that they had from Crestline, the service took delivery of 4 new 2017 Arboc Spirit of Mobility buses the second week of December. Drivers seam to be quite happy to be getting rid of the 15##, and all the problems that went along with them. They still have 3 of them in active service, one has been retired early due to a electrical/damaged frame issue (believe it’s 1502). The new busses follow similar numbering TR1701 to 1704. They have The GM v-8 gas engine in them.
  22. Not exactly related to this thread, but somewhat relevant to this thread. Was out visiting a buddy who drives in their transit system. 23. Saw a fairly new looking H3-45 in the London terminal today. No lettering or logos on it, from what I could see. Anyone else happen to see something similar operating in the area?
  24. Have some fleet updates for Badder Bus Lines. If you have any questions, please let me know. 1201 - Now wrapped in Badder livery. 1204 - Now wrapped in White Badder Livery, Ex-Lambton College Lions bus. 1108 - Fanshawe Falcon Bus 2, New college logo, nicknamed "North Star", (wrapped late summer/ early fall 2017) Cat Diesel, 12sp ZF Astronic transmission (same on all 08 series) 1308 - Second St. Clair Saints bus. 1408 - Now wrapped in Badder Livery. Ex- London Knights Bus 1508 - Now wrapped in Badder Livery. Ex- Sar
  25. Saw 1204 as well recently. It is no longer wrapped for Lambton College. Now sporting the white Badder Livery. 1308 is also wrapped as a second St. Clair Saints bus. Found 1316, it is the same as 1416. a 2016 MCI J4500 Cummins ISX/B500 combo. No take a break logo's on it.
