  2. Here's a video of the day they got them. One of their drivers recorded the journey to go and pick them up from the rail yard in Vancouver. They are in the last ~2 minutes of the video.
  3. Very true. Some fleets in the area that are exclusive to one brand/model, could have some very difficult challenges to overcome if a manufacturer puts out a recall, or stop usage notice on them.
  4. Looks like 1515 is now on the Mirvish Express contract. Saw this photo floating around the other day. I think it might be fleet diversity. I was talking with their safety and training manager, and he indicated that they are working on reducing the average age of the fleet, and adding some diversity in the vehicle options that they have for riders. They have 4 or 5 other MCI's in their fleet including the new ones, along with a couple Setra's and VanHools, although it still seems like they are still mostly buying Prevost's for their main fleet. They have a couple brand-new looking Prevost units sitting at their new London yard, that don't even have a wrap or decals on them yet, just the legal's on the first luggage bay door.
  5. Looks like Badder is expanding its operations again. Announced earlier this fall that they have purchased Cherrey Bus Lines. With the purchase of Cherrey, that doesn't leave many competitors in the Southwestern Ontario Area that offer motor coaches. 2018 September 26 - announcement_7XYq.pdf

  7. Most of their newer buses I see on the road look to be stainless or aluminum alcoa rims (especially anything that is on, or was on the safeway contract). Maybe they are just changing their fleet slowly to match as needed? Would be interested to know more about this my self.

  11. How was the operational relationship set, if you don't mind me asking? Was he required to provide all his own insurance, operating authority, CVOR, etc...? or did he operate partially under the company's authority's & licenses?

  13. I'm looking at owning my own coach, and being contracted to a bus company to transport on their behalf (Similar to how a transport-truck owner/operator work's)
  14. Does anyone have any experience in being an owner/operator for a motor coach? I've heard of a few occasions where someone tried to do it, but wondering if there are any successful O/O's operating in Canada? Edit: Looking at something similar to how a transport-truck driver would be an owner/operator (they own their vehicle, and are contracted to a carrier, or multiple carriers, to operate for them/on their behalf).
