  1. New 40ft Diesel Gilligs are currently being delivered to Gainesville. There is a total of 14 for this order numbered 2101-2114. These will replace the 2001 Ex-Lynx Phantoms and likely some of the other 2001 Phantoms. *Photo Credit to El Guajiro on Flickr
  2. 599, 613, & 49-410 were sold off late last week all in scrap condition. Going early this week are: 114-412, 606, 608, 611, 616, 619, 628, 633, 806, 808, 810, 814, & 815. 114-412 was wrecked and parted out. The rest are all in various states of disrepair. Though it seems with a little work, a good portion of them can get back on the road.
  3. The new June Board Report is out. Lynx will vote to exercise the option for more New Flyer XN60 buses. It doesn't exactly say how many, but this likely will be for only 3 buses. One to replace 287-619(Which I guess they deemed a total loss) and to replace 26-610 & 27-610. https://www.golynx.com/corporate-info/board-reports-detail.stml?portalProcess_dd_0_1_1=showPublicEvent&calendar_entry_id=6676
  4. I did find out through the South Florida Transit facebook page, all 77 of the buses sold in the April auction were purchased by EG Used Truck Parts in Opa-Locka. This is a well known bus scrapper in South Florida. They scrap a lot of Miami-Dade Transit and local school buses. Sad to see since I know some of those older Gilligs were still in running condition.
  5. In May, Gainesville approved the purchase one more electric Gillig 40ft bus. Not sure if it will come at the end of this year or early 2022. Depends on what Gilligs lead-time is on these buses. I think buying only electric buses from now on would depend on how these are able to perform and hold up. https://gainesville.legistar.com/LegislationDetail.aspx?ID=4898270&GUID=94E146EC-34FF-4BB9-8EF5-34FCCD30A08B&Options=&Search= I also expect RTS to purchase more BRTs from Lynx. They've been wanting to do that for the last few years.
  6. Some info from the May Board Report. The following buses are now officially retired: 586, 588, 592, 606, 608, 611, 6116, 619, 623, 628, 633, 803, 806, 808, 814, & 815. https://www.golynx.com/corporate-info/board-reports-detail.stml?portalProcess_dd_0_1_1=showPublicEvent&calendar_entry_id=6664 Also, on April 28th, I saw T605 running on the Transsee app. I'm pretty sure this is 605, which was already retired, running as a training bus. I'm not sure if it is a normal Lynx practice to run training buses/drivers on revenue routes.
  7. Good to hear from you again! Hope you're doing good as well. Someone else beat me to it, but here's all the buses that were auctioned off on May 31st: 0004 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3903&acctid=4740 0019 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3904&acctid=4740 543 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3912&acctid=4740 0105 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3905&acctid=4740 0107 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3906&acctid=4740 0108 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3907&acctid=4740 0111 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3910&acctid=4740 2502 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3914&acctid=4740 2502 was listed for sale in Ocala on Facebook Marketplace.
  8. New buses are hitting the streets in Orlando. These buses are numbered 323-421 to at least 331-421 per the transsee tracker. I'm guessing these are Gilligs, but cannot confirm yet. Anyone else know?
  9. BCT currently has 95 buses up for auction this weekend. 77 40ft buses and 19 cutaways. This officially finishes off the 2002/2003 Gilligs and all but a handful of the 2005-2008 Nabis. https://www.proxibid.com/National-Auction-Company/Broward-County-Fleet-Services-Bus-Auction/event-catalog/199132
  10. 43 Orions are up for auction on GovDeals. Its a various mix of (17) 30ft/40ft Orion VIIs and (26) diesel Orion Vs. I tried to get a list of the VINs, but it seems they won't release that except to the winning bidder. https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=203&acctid=20077
  11. A bunch of the Gillig BRTs are up for auction: 495 - https://www.proxibid.com/2006-GILLIG-G29D102N4-BUS/lotInformation/60479477 499 - https://www.proxibid.com/2006-GILLIG-G29D102N4-BUS/lotInformation/60479480 500 - https://www.proxibid.com/2006-GILLIG-G29D102N4-BUS/lotInformation/60479478 502 - https://www.proxibid.com/2006-GILLIG-G29D102N4-BUS/lotInformation/60479476 503 - https://www.proxibid.com/2007-GILLIG-G30D105N4-BUS/lotInformation/60503308 504 - https://www.proxibid.com/2007-GILLIG-G30D105N4-BUS/lotInformation/60503307
  12. 7131, 7151, 8054, & 8060 are being auctioned this weekend.
  13. All of Valley Metros 2007 D60LFs are retired and I know that Transit Sales International purchased quite a few of them. Only four of the 2008s have been auctioned so far, that being two in February of this year and two this coming weekend.
  14. I remember reading somewhere that a CCW conversion cost around $300k for a 40ft bus. No clue what the cost is for an artic. This is a 2007 model.
  15. I accidentally came across 21120 while it was in the middle of being delivered. Driver stopped at a Walmart in Jacksonville, FL. A real sharp looking bus for sure.
  16. Some of the 1996 D35HF buses were just recently sold with all being listed at having over a million miles. 3411 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=154&acctid=1258 3419 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=151&acctid=1258 3429 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=152&acctid=1258 3433 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=153&acctid=1258
  17. 2716 is up for auction on GovDeals.com https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=3&acctid=20077 One of the pictures shows an inspection sticker showing the mileage at around 510k miles(Granted being a year old). I assumed WMATA buses rack up a lot of miles. Does anyone know if this is normal mileage or are the odometers reset after being overhauled?
  18. The Nabis are still on the active roster, but I don't know how much they are actually used since I haven't seen them on the tracker since late in 2019. Its possible they are used for training, but I'm not sure. The 25 new 2020 Gilligs are now in service. Like you said, its likely that the 2021 buses will be XN40s. Also, there should be 6 more Proterras in 2021 on top of the 8 that came earlier this year.
  19. 12 Novas are up for auction. Sad to see, these look like they're in great condition. 101 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=100&acctid=11774 103 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=95&acctid=11774 104 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=98&acctid=11774 105 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=101&acctid=11774 106 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=97&acctid=11774 108 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=99&acctid=11774 115 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=91&acctid=11774 116 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=96&acctid=11774 121 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=90&acctid=11774 210 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=92&acctid=11774 216 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=94&acctid=11774 224 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=93&acctid=11774
  20. There are 17 Gilligs up for auction this month: Lot 1: 7 2007 Gillig LowFloor Buses 0702 - 15GGD211771077810 0714 - 15GGD211971078117 0715 - 15GGD211071078118 0717 - 15GGD211971078120 0719 - 15GGD211671078141 0720 - 15GGD211871078142 0722 - 15GGD211171078144 Lot 2: 4 2007 Gillig LowFloor & 4 2008 Gillig LowFloor Buses 0716 - 15GGD211271078119 0723 - 15GGD211371078145 0724 - 15GGD211571078146 0725 - 15GGD211771078147 0800 - 15GGD211X81078130 0801 - 15GGD211181078131 0804 - 15GGD211381078134 0807 - 15GGD211981078137 Lot 3: 2 2010 Gillig LowFloor Hybrids Buses 1006 - 15GGD3013A1178356 1007 - 15GGD3015A1178357
  21. I have been watching the tracker through transsee.ca the past week and can confirm there are at least 11 new 2020 Gilligs, numbered 2000-2010. I haven't seen any of the 2007s, so those are likely on borrowed time. I also only saw the 2008 Gillig hybrids in service.
  22. Are those Flxibles still on property? I thought they had gotten rid of the last one sometime last year.
  23. Two new diesel Gilligs are on property. Since these are numbered 2004 & 2005, I assume the electric Gilligs will be numbered 2001-2003. They are supposed to be delivered by November, but who knows at this point. *Photo credit to El Guajiro on Flickr
  24. Sorry for the thread bump. 19 new Gilligs are now in service with 10 more coming by the end of the year. These are apparently going to start replacing the 2006 LowFloors as all the 2004 Phantoms were retired in December 2019. https://www.masstransitmag.com/bus/vehicles/press-release/21154295/cincinnati-metro-cincinnati-metro-introduces-19-new-buses-into-service
  25. All the 2003 Nabi 416s were sold earlier this month 1442 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=145&acctid=1258 1443 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=146&acctid=1258 1444 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=147&acctid=1258 1445 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=148&acctid=1258 1446 - https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=149&acctid=1258 I was also able to get a picture of 3414 in early August while I was in Charleston. Not the greatest picture, but still nice to see some of these old buses running.
