  1. When 10101 was first introduced to the public, I was at the release event. The mayor at the time said the city was going to move to an all hybrid fleet (which we know didnt last long) Sad to see this one go
  2. I had no idea this thread existed !! Being as I have been collecting (quite avidly) for over a year, thought I would share some of my purchases In this photo, 2 Gemini Jets Royal 757-200', Gemini Jets Transavia 737-700w, Gemini Jets United 757-200w (most recent purchase) and Gemini Jets American Airlines 737-800w Next up, are 3 AeroClassics Air Canada Zip 737-200's and a Gemini Jets WestJet 737-700w One of my favorite photos, and the model that has helped me most when I was making my display, a Dragon Wings Delta Airlines 737-800 Wide shot of my display, containing the AeroClassics Zips, Dragon Wings Delta, a Gemini Jets American Airlines 757-200w and a Gemini Jets Delta/ASA ATR-72 A photo, just to show size comparison, between a Gemini Jets Continental Express ATR-42 and a Dragon Wings Iberia Airbus A340-600 Most of my collection is 1:400 scale, but I also have about 10 models in 1:500 as well. Hope you enjoyed the photos, and I'll add more periodically
  3. I'm surprised nobody mentioned ebay (sometimes there are deals there) and the government surplus page (im not sure what the site is though). What ever you're looking at doing, I'm sure one of the listed options will be able to either provide you with a vehicle, point you to where you can get a vehicle, or provide you with information on financing a vehicle. There's buses out there, you just have to do some digging to find them. You could also call one of the many dealers around (blue bird/girardin, creative coach, etc)
  4. Didnt know where else this would fit, but according to the main wikipedia page for Pearson, WestJet Encore will start YYZ - YQT service on June 27 see here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_Pearson_International_Airport) scroll to destinations
  5. Scrolled "Bradford/Route 2", all white spotted heading south on highway 24, just south of Cambridge on Monday afternoon
  6. Has anyone tried the online multiplayer game, Airline Empires? http://www.airline-empires.com/index.php?/page/home.html Game gives many different worlds to play in. I'm currently playing in one of the longer worlds (1955-2030), and you can create your own logo and livery. Out of 250+ players, I'm ranked 67th, first in Canada, with fleet of 550 aircraft. Destination list..... 200+ worldwide
  7. Here's a couple of articles, one from this past summer (http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/2013/07/08/metrolinx-gets-on-the-go-transit-business-case) and one from yesterday (http://www.brantfordexpositor.ca/2013/12/11/brantford-does-math-on-go-transit-bus-routes) , both looking at the ongoing struggle to bring affordable and frequent inter-regional services to Brant and Brantford. Of special note, is the routing, and the potential of Brantford Transit running the services. Also, Operation Lift (Mobility) has now become Brantford Lift, and is now in-house with Brantford Transit (http://www.brantfordlift.ca/). The service changes mentioned by "newflyerinvero" went into effect June 24th, and Brantford Transit now on NextBus (http://www.brantford.ca/residents/roadstransportation/public_transit/Pages/NextBusProgram.aspx)
  8. Found this on ebay this evening http://cgi.ebay.ca/ebaymotors/1999-Prevost-Mirage-XL-49-Passenger-bus-/111235572417?pt=Buses&hash=item19e62822c1&forcev4exp=true#ht_500wt_1414
  9. As of this post, the routes have not been changed. (the 5 and 6 run through my neighborhood) But of note, most (if not all) novas that had halogen headlights, are now sporting LED headlights
  10. After doing some trips through the University of Guelph, I noticed Aboutown buses running midday trips. Upon further investigation, it looks like they have made some additions to the Hamilton - Guelph run (http://www.aboutown.ca/northlink/Route8Schedule.php), but some cancellations to others (http://www.aboutown.ca/northlink.php)
  11. The whole fleet is like that now. 10121 was the first delivered without the red stripe, all older units have had theirs removed
  12. Smooth start for Maritime Bus http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/prince-edward-island/story/2012/12/01/pei-maritime-bus-launch.html
  13. I dont think this has been noted, but has Aboutown reduced/cut some of their runs?? Looking on the website, I noticed that the Brantford-Cambridge-Guelph run has been removed, and one of the Goderich runs has been consolidated into another run....
