    Metro Transit

8100 returned to service today, it was outfitted with a three-position bike rack back in October. The low 8120s are also starting to make an appearance again on the C Line. 8120-37 will be assigned to Heywood and operate on the D Line, 8138 and up will be out of South and run on the Orange Lines. 8020-25 haven't run for awhile. I think they're being held pending transfer to First Transit.
  2. Also I should point out: they did have to cut commuter service, as well as Routes 410, 420, 497, and 499 to provide buses to RenFest
  3. Uploading the two images from the MVTA announcement to the forum for archival purposes
  4. Hi, I have another move request. Please move: ”Minnesota Valley Transit Authority 4127-4139” to “Minnesota Valley Transit Authority 4127-4150”. I should have checked the VINs before creating the page, but I found the VINs from both series are for the same model year. However, they do have different power trains (4127-39 have Voith, 4140-50 have Allisons) and were ordered in two batches (4127, 4128, 4140-50 in one batch, 4129-39 in another) so I am fine with keeping the pages separate because of the different powertrains and order batches. While I do not have VINs for 4127 and 4128, both were delivered in 2021 and I believe the VINs for both coaches come just before the coaches in the 4140 series.)

  9. Please rename the following page: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Metro_Transit_(Minnesota)_301-328 from Metro Transit (Minnesota) 301-328 to Metro Transit (Minnesota) 301-327. I was informed by Metro Transit staff that they never exercised an option for one additional car (though the governing board approved the ability to do so), so the car count in this series will be 27. Please reach out if you have any follow-up questions. Thanks!

327 arrived today and is currently sitting on the Sabo spur. It will be towed in just after midnight tonight. This is the last car for the Southwest project; although the Met Council did exercise an option for one more, it appears that option is canceled.

Can't seem to get the bid documents as it appears to be password protected. Currently asking around about contractors who will get the routes. BTW, 101 was towed out to Louisiana on Saturday. It took a rather circuitous route, stopping in Burnsville, Prior Lake, Jordan, New Prague, and Belle Plaine on its way out.
  16. I'm preparing to request a list of fleet rosters from transit agencies in the Twin Cities area as part of my annual update to the CPTDB site. However, even though they are required to disclose the roster by Minnesota law, I have a hard time getting them. If you find it useful, could you tell me how you find them useful so I could tell them? Thank you!
