  1. I had looked all through the past threads and there was no acquisition dates or where they had come from. There was a list that showed the model years and bus type. At one time there must have been a roster page on the Wiki but it was removed by A. Wong on March 31st, 2009.
  2. I was in London on Thursday, March 4th and noticed that the TL960 buses had faded numbers on the sides. 741 was 1537, 744 was 1554 and 743 was 1550. Were these buses purchased from someone else? Does anyone have any history on them?
  3. http://cptdb.ca/wiki/images/archive/f/ff/2...ansit_868-a.jpg Shows BN5 812 on the rear of 868. Photo date unknown but uploaded in December 2008 and then replaced with the same filename with a side view.
  4. Saw 867 at Markville Mall during the 2051 charter on Saturday and noticed that it was licensed BN5 812 which had previously been on 868. Does anyone know when it was changed?
  5. Thanks Guys. I got some photos of them on the 8132 charter.
  6. The Wiki shows D40LF buses 8401 to 8430 as 2007 builds; however, the newest Street Side Guide shows them as 2006 build and 2006 delivery. Which source is correct?
  7. TTC isn't, nor is London, Guelph, OC Transpo.
  8. Thanks very much, appreciate the quick reply. Just got back from shooting NFTA-Metro in Buffalo.
  9. Can anyone tell me how many seats in the A330 Van Hools? The info is not shown for them on te Wiki roster pages.
  10. I was in Toronto yesterday and saw 1217. The Wiki roster shows it entering service in 2009 compared to 1216 in 2007. The license plates are consecutive. Would the TTC have held the plate for 2 years waiting for 1217 or is the date in the Wkik roster a typo?
  11. I photographed this old Prevost at Farr's in Dunnville, ON this afternoon. The roster on the CPTDB wiki does not show any ever in service. Can anyone give me a clue as to model, age, etc. Thanks
  12. Thanks. The license plate numbers on that series are not posted on the roster page.
  13. Is this Orion V numbered 7065 or 7085, registration is BM8 347 ? It was photographed on Yonge Street near Finch on Saturday, June 13th, 2009. I'm leaning towards 7065.
  14. This this message this morning while lloking at a TTC Orion 05.501.. 15. I have a short MP3 file on my website of a German 103 electric starting away from a station stop. http://www.michaeltaylor.ca/sound/sound-eu.htm as well as a diesel hydraulic, a narrow gauge 2-10-2T and a standard gauge 2-8-2. The Czech Republic have a sizable fleet of dual voltage electrics that run on 3000 volt DC and 25000 volt AC. Interestingly they are rated at 3480kW on DC and only 3080 kW on AC. Czech electrics use the first number of the loco number to indicate voltage, starting with a 1 indicates DC, 2 are AC and 3 are dual voltage. Siemens built the Taurus electrics in single, dual and quad voltage versions. The class 189 will operate on 1500 v dc, 3000 volt dc, 15000 v ac & 25000 v ac. The Siemens 1016 (15kva) and 1116 (15kva +25kva) on the Austrian Railways make an organ sound which rises in pitch as the loco accelerates away. illustrates it very well with an explanation of how.
  16. I saw 83929 yesterday in Hamilton and it worked back to Guelph. I noticed the pro-rated plate. Is this unusual?
  17. Can anyone identify this Fishbowl also at the rear of the Garage. Just found out that it is 931 and Jason must have been there a day before me.
  18. Does anyone have any info on Gray Line 7681 in Ottawa. The ownership on the rear 1/4 panel shows Greyhound and it carries Alberta plate G 46543
  19. Got this photo of a Classic artic behind the Upper James bus garage. 8203 was there as well. Does anyone know the number?
  20. I was in Niagara on August 30th, 2008 and 9872 was in the Transit garage with the hound applied to the front and Alberta license plates on the rear.
  21. I don't think it is the image that is the problem. On page http://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Soci%...ouais_0301-0328 if you click either of the 2 bottom thumbnails, they will not open the file size photo. You just get a string of Syntax errors.
  22. I tried it in both Firefox 3 and IE7. No problem with uploading the photo. I get the error when I edit the page to add the thumbnail. I have saved the page. http://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php?title=Soci%...01-9223#Details What does it look like at your end.
