  1. Since i started to make a new thread while the person who made one is taking a break.

I decided to make one and the other thread as ttc nova deliveries can be merged by an admin?

    Here's the new thread :)

  2. Probably NF. Novabus is unlikely. Plus the majority of the fleet is NF and drivers have been used to it since the 90s (With the exception of 30 footers and the Orions). I'm not against Novas, I ride the in MTL from time to time, but since we've been with NF for so long, why stop now?

    Plus they never had GM 1982 40ft T6H-5307N's and GM/MCI/Novabus classic's before.

  3. Sorry Kevin. Yes 7 in Ontario. The mobile browser isn't very good as it won't let me edit my posts or quote them. Does anyone know how much it is to ride the ferry? Haven't been on it since 2002

I think drt with 2003 8050 from 5 is the only orion v with drt and maybe in service?

Where are these Orions going for scrap? Sorry, I haven't been following this since the beginning of the retirements..

I do recall that i was on the ttc sales website back in july 2014 and said closed tender adwarded to Langille's scrap of port perry. Here's the website of that scrap yard http://www.scrapandcores.com/index.html

  4. Because the TTC isn't well known for reselling transit buses for continued service but Calgary does....

Nine years ago the ttc was about to give nine 1989/1990 93xx orion v cng buses along with mci classic 6291 to dominican republic. But got vandalized and sold to scrap and the country did not get them at all.

  5. As far as I know, they're still needed. The Orion Is are the workhorses of the fleet as they need them for route 9. The XD40s replaced the Thomas SLF230s, as they were too expensive to maintain and difficult to find parts for.

    The SLF's are retired?
