  1. I thought this roster was pretty informative. I think the wiki could use an update maybe. https://www.streetcar.org/streetcarroster/
  2. I think this is a Neoplan Jetliner. Las Vegas Craigslist listing: http://archive.vn/FmIJ1
  3. Done By the way, in the future, I'd suggest you add all of the new number information you find to the old page, and then we could rename the old page to the new name shortly after. This is to avoid losing the old edit history from the old pages. Example: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Mountain_Metropolitan_Transit_2010_Ford_Startrans -> https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Mountain_Metropolitan_Transit_K145-K174
  4. Ride with the Ducks vehicles coming up on Murphy's Auction soon. I remember the ones in SF. https://www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/wanna-buy-a-duck-former-troubled-ride-the-ducks-seattle-tour-fleet-hits-the-auction-block/
  5. I deleted it. Hope you read this: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/User_talk:Chaohwa Done
  6. Route 181 is officially discontinued with the opening of the new BART extension.
  7. Understanding how MAN VINs sequentially increase is generally confusing. 13M293036EC490691 for example: 13M = MAN (U.S.) 293 = 293 series 03 = 3rd roll over for the 293 series' serials (I will explain later) 6 = check digit (Can be calculated automatically here: https://vpic.nhtsa.dot.gov/decoder/checkdigit) E = 1984 model (VIN year code) C = Plant code (North Carolina) 490691 = serial (Note, the "49" also represents the unit number for a specific order, I will explain later). General increasing of serials example: 13M293039EC960725 -> 13M293036EC970726. In standard cases, the check digit (9th digit) will decrease by -3, as seen above, while the 13th & 17th digits increase by +1. Serial number roll over case 1: 13M293036EC490691 -> 13M293035EC500692. The 13th digit of the VIN rolls over to 0. The 12th digit increases by +1 (like 49 to 50). The check digit (9th digit) decreases by -1. Serial number roll over case 2: 13M293037EC470689 -> 13M293039EC480690. The 17th digit of the VIN rolls over to 0. The 13th digit increases by +1 (standard for MAN VINs). The check digit (9th digit) will increase by +2. Serial number roll over case 3: 13M293033EC690699 -> 13M293033EC700700. The 13th, 16th & 17th digits roll over to 0. The 12th & 15th digits increase by +1. The check digit (9th digit) does not increase or decrease. Note: If the 16th digit does not roll over to 0 (example 13M293036EC690689 -> 13M29303XEC700690)(Fake VINs), the check digit (9th digit) increases by +4. Serial number roll over case 4: 13M293044EC710799 -> 13M293042EC720800. The 16th & 17th digits roll over to 0. The 13th digit increases by +1. The check digit (9th digit) decreases by -2. Serial number roll over case 5: 13M293047FC990963 -> 13M293051FC000964. The 17th digit increased by +1 like normal. The 12th & 13th digits of the VIN rolled over to 00. The 8th digit (serial roll over counter for the 293 series) increased from 29304 to 29305. The check digit (9th digit) increased by +5. (7 + 5 =12. If 9 = 9, X = 10, 0 =11, 1 =12), making the check digit "1." Serial number increase by transit agency order example: EC510693 (Bee-Line 660) -> EC640694 (RGRTA 301) compared to EC810646 (SF Muni 6000) -> EC820711 (SF Muni 6001). Series: 293 (most common), 782, 783, 784 were used for MAN SG-310's. 792 was used for MAN Americana's. 797 was used for MAN SGT-310's (trolley artics). Hopefully these tips will make adding check digits and full VINs for MAN buses a bit easier. They can be used as a guide.
  8. A friend is interested and another friend wants one as a storage bus. Might not be as easy now though since they appear to be putting junk tires on the buses unlike the first auction. We'll see what happens. No museums are interested.
  9. My friend @themikepeng took this photo back in January. This was Modesto MAX 20715, a 2007 model MCI D4000 built in 2006. I have never seen a 2006/7 D4000 before, but it is legit, as the bus even has the older rear cap. As a result, I made this page: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Motor_Coach_Industries_D4000_'7_VINs'
  10. Okay I'll change it. The reason why I laid out with 6585-6587 as part of 6560-6584 initially was since they were delivered way before 6588 and up back in 2016, but I guess it doesn't really matter now. I wasn't aware of the different model years with the VINs either (since I didn't create the actual pages, but I did create the number split back in 2016).
  11. Here's an older PDF from 2011 (now deleted from the website) I had stashed in my bookmarks. It's also full of VINs. Pages 17-21: http://web.archive.org/web/20161224222714/http://www.sta.ca.gov/docManager/1000002928/SolTrans Board Packet 12-15-11.pdf
  12. Noted. Also feel free to help me out with the expansion of the serial pages like the AM Generals, Flyers, MAN's, GMC's, etc if you want. Thanks as always!
  13. My friend who owns a 1982 Eagle Model 10 coach sent me this list a couple of years ago. It covers the majority of the Eagles built from 1957-1989. Obviously this is way too much info for a single person to enter into the wiki, so feel free to download the PDF and help contribute. EAGLEPRODUCTIONLIST.pdf Old thread found:
  14. I recently started to listen to House & Hip House. This song is just pure fire especially at 2:04 to the end. There is also this 2nd mix which extends that ending part of the original.
  15. I just got records on a few of them today. However I am having a hard time getting more full VINs since I don't know which plant code & bus number code is correct for each VIN after a bit. I'm getting 0 records on many calculated vins. https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Orion_Bus_Industries_I_'D_VINs'#D____728
  16. I was there in person when my friend sold 6292 to the new owner. Those pics were taken in Vegas shortly after being sold.
  17. My friend took this photo back on 5/8/2016. 6279 was being towed to auction and he saw it while driving the samTrans/MV NABI in the background. 6279 ironically still exists today at a junk yard in Shingle Springs. I helped a couple of friends buy parts from it in late 2018.
  18. My friend sent me this a few years ago. It was part of an old campaign around 2003 for the residents of SF to vote for the disposition of old muni buses or something. Because of that vote, Muni buses were being sold directly to scrap instead of auction after 2005 or 2006. This lasted all the way until 2013. This is why we lost every Muni D40 except for 8926 sadly. People wanted to buy them.
  19. 148 is the final NABI left in service as of yesterday. 152 actually did not return to SamTrans. MV has officially purchased 143, 153 & 152 from SamTrans. The reason why is because they have engine problems and would cost more to fix to make drivable again vs. just buying them and sending them to auction or scrap.
  20. 152, 143 & 153 out of service on 1/24/2020. They were broken and their notes said "do not fix." 152 has since been fixed and has returned to the district now that it has retired. 143 & 153 are still there as of last week. They are retired too, but I believe SamTrans will not take them back from MV until they are drivable again.
  21. From my collection, Muni GMC New Look Rehab numbers. This list was mailed to me by Jim Husing back in 2016 or so. I scanned it recently. It came in handy when rehabbing this page: https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/San_Francisco_MUNI_3180-3189
