  1. Witnessed a BC Transit XN40 going WB on the Trans-Canada past the Willingdon exit. 1119 if I am not mistaken.
  2. It would seem like an emergency event at first glance. The “Choose Your Ride” campaign has been ongoing for the past few weeks, in collaboration with various police departments, BCAS, along with TransLink. Explains why 9717 was there :)
  3. Saw it stopped on Lougheed Hwy by Rupert St with its four-ways on last week.
  4. 18008 and 18014 in service this morning as well
  5. Saw 9610 on the back of a Unitow about 10 minutes ago headed WB on Kingsway at Royal Oak, presumably going back to BTC. Edit: T-Comm history shows 9610 never completed its block on the 106, with 9464 taking over.
  6. https://engage.gov.bc.ca/broadwaysubway/early-works/ "On behalf of the project, crews from TransLink and the City of Vancouver will be installing trolley poles and wires and upgrading intersection signals and lampposts along portions of: Macdonald Street, between 4th Avenue and Broadway Avenue; 12th Avenue, between Arbutus and Granville Street, and Oak and Cambie Street; and Cambie Street, between Broadway Avenue and 12th Avenue."
  7. Witnessed 8022 pass me EB Lougheed Highway at Willingdon around 11am this morning. I wonder where it could be headed?
  8. Amazing what you come back to on the board after work... Can we not? Back on track, 18173 and 18200 appear in the background at the media event announcing the rollout of Shaw Wifi throughout the system. At Hamilton I believe?
  9. 18198, 18321 and 18328 commence service this afternoon
  10. 3295, 7199, 7212, 7213, 7218, 7350, 7353, 7360, 7363, 7386, 7394 are also wiki updates- just mentioning it here for reference's sake.
  11. Something pertinent that I forgot to mention... Glad someone caught that, thanks. Was initially surprised, from my rear-view I assumed it was a BTC artic deadheading.
  12. R12024 passed me SB on Boundary and Lougheed ~10mins ago unwrapped from the RapidBus branding.
  13. So that explains the cruiser with damage sitting in the detachment parking lot I saw the other day. A brief search yields this Burnaby Now article: https://www.burnabynow.com/news/five-sent-to-hospital-after-rcmp-vehicle-and-transit-bus-collide-in-burnaby-1.23431563
  14. 9799 for Lionel Lorence Realty if it hasn’t been mentioned already
  15. 7201 just passed me NB Seymour at Robson. Another transfer for fireworks I would assume.
  16. Glad to see the repositioning of seats in the rear. Judging by the picture, it resembles the seating arrangement on the older Flyers with the two seats facing towards the side. It appears that there are two JetSet Novas in the background too.
  17. I understand your confusion. Upon seeing "chrome-like" I assumed it was in reference to the wheels instead. Upon delivery of the WVMT XD40's, their wheels had a particular lustre, wheels that did not compare to CMBC's Xcelsiors when they were delivered. It could also be different suppliers altogether. I do not believe CMBC has Alcoas, as it seems as if they are painted/primed over, and bears a resemblance to the light grey on the Sweep scheme we have, bearing a likeness- if not, perfect accuracy of Accuride's optional grey primer or topcoat they treat their wheels. Accuride also has an optional white primer or topcoat- possibly the wheels used on our older D40LF's. Alcoa by Arconic and Accuride are both wheel suppliers of NFI, so take my speculation with the finest grain of salt. I agree, polishing aluminum wheels is indeed extra work, looks like CMBC has gone via the "function over fashion" route instead.
  18. Yes they are shiny, aluminum Alcoa wheels with the mirror finish I believe.
  19. I got a poster around the first week of December, and yes it was at Gilmore! IIRC they had the shower curtain up, covering the boxes of merch and had it set up as a sort of “backroom” As of now, I don’t think there is anything up in person. Though I do hope they host another pop-up store again, I would definitely have another look.
  20. At least the traffic lights were modified to separate the pedestrians crossing N/S and the buses exiting the loop, but even then jaywalkers and inattentive people are still prevalent...
  21. Noticed that select ‘144 Metrotown Stn’ trips route via Nelson, Kingsway, Mckay, Central. Not sure how long this has been going on, but it caught my eye as I saw a 144 make a turn onto Kingsway.
