  1. Passed by Novabus plant tonight - Many translink units at the front - STTR 2401 all electric bus also at the front - STSherbrooke 74104 also there - There is also a 2302 LFS Artic in the yard, probably for STLévis - GRT LFSE+ 22311 in the yard - The back (640) is full to the fences of units, in fact the Novabus plant ground is so full that some unfinished buses are parked at Adessa car auction near by and rumors says that some buses might be stored at the Condor st. facility.
  2. The leading 2 could also be the vehicule type, Transdev Quebec propreties school bus starts with a 2 to denominate that they are school buses
  3. This post covers Transit Tracker, NOT Transsee Speaking of Transit Tracker, might have a new feature request, when entering list mode, i wish i could have the option to load the page with only the company and the + sign visible next to it, would help let say i need to go to page 4 to view what i need, i need to scroll all the way down the page to go to page 2, then again to go to 3, again to 4, if the operator are collapsed, i would immediatly see the next page icon at the bottom of the page
  4. Also the 103 Monkland and the 485 are good spot to find those buses, especially at rush hour

    MÉTRO

It's not like that it works, it's one train run over how many STM operates in a day, they will stay down there
  6. If multiple agencies start running the same SPS routes for REM, it might be time to consider having a dedicated numbering system shared among all possible involve agencies (STM, STL, RTL and exo). For fun if we consider it's free for fall on the shuttle service, service pattern would be RM = Montréal focused RS = South shore from Gare Centrale RL= South Shore VIA Métro Longueuil (PM Peak) RM1 - EXPRESS Gare Centrale <> Île-des-Soeurs RS1 - LOCAL Brossard - Du Quartier - Panama - Île-des-Soeurs RS2 - EXPRESS Gare Centrale - Panama RS3 - EXPRESS Gare Centrale - Brossard RL2 - EXPRESS Métro Longueuil - Panama RL3 - EXPRESS Métro Longueuil - Brossard NOTE: Any ressemblance with a nearby agency just across the border is just pure coincidence
  7. Hastus code for Terminus Brossard
  8. Ridgewood hill was partially closed yesterday and today due to road work, so no STM 11/166 up the hill, a cutaway was assigned to do the shuttle job up and down the hill
  9. Fleet Number is formated xxxDyz xxx is the element number, each train has 2 elements for now Letter D is still mysterious y indicate the car number in the element (number 1 or 2) z indicate the end of the car, the 1 end is always the end with the window, the 2 end is the communicating gangway between cars. So for exemple, for a train composed of element 10 and 20, that could give Direction of travel << 010D11 010D12 010D22 O10D21 | 020D11 020D12 020D22 020D21 <<
  10. They are OTIS lifts ... and I think they installed a too cheap model for kind of heavy work
  11. Well one of the change is that the 968 is now scrolling on a single row, no longer a two row text scrolling
  12. Maybe the programmation was updated to resolve an issue that was proper to SL routes ?
  13. Side note: Don't take it personal, but if you want to post photos on this post, please ensure a minimum of quality in the photo, 3 feet of the front of the bus is not minimum quality
  14. Probably, but not the highest priority on exo list right now In other news, exo has now it's first accessible bus route, exo Assomption route 15 will now be accessible for wheelchair customers
  15. Unitours 88, es. GO Transit 8205 is waiting to do the first return trip of the Plumobile service to the Côte-de-Beaupré
  16. 39-033 has driver side center wrap for Notre-Dame Basilica
  17. For the LFS Artic, it is unlikely RTL will be running them when you come in October, 21051 was the last artic survivor on the 45 before the REM opening, all others were parked or retired. For BYD, you might find it on the 284 Boucherville local shuttle operating mid day weekdays, but it's far from a guarantee.
  18. CDPQ infra wants people to drive to their (part) PAID parking lots
  19. Breaking news : REM will open a little sooner then expected, service will be open to the public as a "preview" on July 29th and 30th, service will run between 9am and 7pm, it will be free
  20. The ABCD pass is valid on all STM, STL, RTL and exo services, not valid for St-Jean sur le Richelieu service, St-Hyacinthe local service. For nice routes, here is a couple suggestions STM 211 Bord-du-lac, runs alongside the Saint-Louis Lake exo Vallée du Richelieu 200 to Saint-Hyacinthe, runs parrallel to the CN mainline. exo Sorel-Tracy 700 to Sorel or 701 to Contrecoeur, just beware schedule is sparse east of Contrecoeur.
  21. The 74 is sadly, for now, a complicated bus, with a AM and PM routing that can lead to confusion. Now let's look at it in the post REM reality The 178 Pointe-Nord/I-de-S is a busy bus at rush hour, especially with workers at Cité Multimédia filling up those buses, this bus route will be remove at the opening of the REM, so the STM changed the 74 to replace the loss of the 178, so this is why those short turns at R-Bourassa / Ottawa exist, this is where the load end. During PM rush, some trips starts from there acting as doubleurs to bring people back to Bonaventure. For the rest of the service period, this will add more service in Griffintown, the Costco and Canada post plant get all day service, one thing that could have been interesting is to extend the south end of the route to REM Ile-des-Soeurs giving a direct (slow) connection between the two sectors, or to a green line station in Verdun
  22. A bit out of the exo territory, some TCJC news. Transport Collectif Jacques-Cartier will offer free service on all of July and August on it's network. But there is a catch, a new "summer schedule" is in effect, there is generally more trips on each route but with a caviat, is that now buses ends their route at a RTC terminal to dump their users onto the Metrobus network, far less one seat ride to riders. Regular schedule seems to be planned to return August 19th
  23. Sorry, but i need to remember people some things We know the system will open on July 31st, but there is NO guarantee the first public train will be at 530am, remember that there likely will be a ribbon cutting ceremony with all the high digitaries before people are allowed in the train, when this ceremony will happen, we don't know, surely not at 5am, more likely in mid morning IMHO, since July 31st is a Monday, it's unlikely to be done on the previous week-end. Also we cannot exclude the possibility of a "soft launch" a couple days earlier (system is open but not annouced publicly) My personal guess is that system will open on July 31st, but not before noon
  24. The extra dot could be a solution, or add a toggle switch on the map to switch between sector and operator mode. For the wrapped bus tracking, the idea behind to be community driven is to relief pressure on you so we can manage it, we could also consider that only some trusted persons could add/remove the wrap status via a login to the platform to avoid sabotage
