  1. It's a little confusing. They definitely, for sure, considered having one fleet for all lines. But this other page suggests they will be separate: http://www.riderta.com/pillarstudies#railcar Or maybe it's the other way around. They considered two separate fleets, but now it will be just one car?...

    Metro Transit

Some years back, a Gillig Phantom from the Minneapolis area ended up with Private Transportation in Brooklyn. Now, for years I had assumed 535 was former MTS 6089 because the VIN ended in in X1110098. But I checked out the full VIN again, and it comes out as Metro Transit 604. Except I'm now a little confused, because X1110098 is the VIN for 6089, but it also happens to be the last digits for 604. So is it possible that the X1110094-X1110098 block were originally Metro Transit 600-604, but then transferred to MTS? https://cptdb.ca/wiki/index.php/Gillig_Phantom_'X_VINs' X1110094 1999 Metropolitan Transportation Services 6671 X1110095 1999 Metropolitan Transportation Services 6672 X1110096 1999 Metropolitan Transportation Services 6673 X1110097 1999 Metropolitan Transportation Services 6088 X1110098 1999 Metropolitan Transportation Services 6089 15GCD2019X1110094 1999 Metro Transit (Minnesota) 600 15GCD2010X1110095 1999 Metro Transit (Minnesota) 601 15GCD2012X1110096 1999 Metro Transit (Minnesota) 602 15GCD2014X1110097 1999 Metro Transit (Minnesota) 603 15GCD2016X1110098 1999 Metro Transit (Minnesota) 604
  5. It looks destined to wipe all of them out. I wonder what will replace the 800s. Maybe MCI coaches? Or perhaps more New Flyers with suburban seating.
  6. New Flyer has won the contract with Bee-Line. Base order is for 66 XDE40, with options for 52 XDE40 and 10 XDE35. https://www.newflyer.com/content/2021/02/westchester-county-awards-new-flyer-a-contract-for-up-to-128-hybrid-electric-xcelsior-transit-buses/?
  7. Sorry, my mistake, had the other page in mind.
  8. I got curious about the fate of the GO Transit buses in Miami. I found a vehicle list online about Miami-Dade Transit contractor America's Transportation a few days ago, and gathered info from online photos on its website. This is what I gathered; old GO numbers on left, new numbers on right (first two digits are supposed to be number of seats): 2135 - 5772 2136 - 5773 2137 - 5771 2152 - 5779 2163 - 5777 2169 - 5778 2191 - 5774 2211 - 5775 2212 - 5776 2268 - 5783 2276 - 5782 2322 - 5597 2329 - 55100 2334 - ? 2340 - 5793 2341 - 55102 2353 - 55124 2354 - ? 2356 - 5794 2365 - ? 2367 - 5599 2369 - 55110 2370 - ? 2390 - 5796 2399 - 55104 2402 - 55116 2414 - 55105 There are at least, at minimum, 10 more buses. 5771-5779 were put on sale recently.
  9. I'd like to rename the following pages: America's Transportation 5772-5773 to America's Transportation 5771-5773 America's Transportation 5776 to America's Transportation 5777-5779 Thanks.

  12. The R211A set is scheduled to arrive in April, numbered 4060-4064. The base order for the R211A is 440 cars (so they will probably be numbered 4060-4499). The R211T gangway pilot is projected to arrive in April 2022. The R211S Staten Island pilot is projected to arrive in August 2022, with 75 production cars starting delivery in October 2023.

  14. Went down there to check if there were any Vicinity buses. Apparently, the BNY is actually changing operators. When you check the Shuttle Services page, there's a service alert that says: Spares 1 and 2 are now cutaways operated by Trans Express; the same guys that do a bunch of other shuttle services like the Resort World Casino and the IKEA shuttle. Trans Express has a large assortment of average Ford cutaways. I was pretty disappointed to find that out when I saw a large F550 shuttle. I actually don't know who the previous operator was.
  15. I've heard through the grapevine that Gillig will be the supplier for the next contract. It's too bad that NICE doesn't seem to be as transparent as the MTA.

  19. No clue. It looks like their signs were updated. I don't know why they went from the 5700 numbering to the 55100 numbering, or why some of the "newer" ones are in the 5500s.
  20. Came across America's Transportation website. Hope this helps those that want to know what the new coach numbers are: https://www.facebook.com/americastransportationflorida/photos 55100 - 2329 can barely be seen 55117, 5598, and a peak at 55108 55114 55110 - The license plate lookup reveals it to be former 2369, VIN 1M8PDMFA68P058614 5794 55105 5782 - It looks 2276 55116 5599 55120 5796 55113 and 55111 Now, I don't know if this is a former GO Transit coach, but it's worth to see if anyone can recognize it 5554
