  1. I think 6148 has been off property for a good while now. Have they set aside an Orion 7 hybrid for preservation? Should be fairly simple to save, and is decently significant.
  2. There might not be a #07 or a #16, or they were retired years back.
  3. Spotted the following in a lot in Jersey City: D4000: 7757, 7415, 7410, 7933, 7759, 7673, 8027, 7814, 8081, 8061, 8027, 7814, 8057, 7640, 7509, 8074, 8073, 7735, 8062, 7936, 8068, 8071, 8105, 7407, 8105, 8059, 7821, 8986, 7505, 7416, 8085, 7607, 8040, 8085, 8088, 8028, 7406, 7414, 7418, 7549, 7994, 7995, 7606, 7665, 7951 D4000N: 7802-7805 D4500: 8212, 8237, 8961-8968 AN459: 9526 Ecocoach: 7201, 7204-7214 RTS: 1356, 4001-4003 I would assume it's safe to say these are all retired now.
  4. There are more cars now. 16 additional ones because Bombardier can't keep up with its demand, and apparently 2 more that I need to confirm. The R42s should be retired some time after the L train shutdown is done.
  5. Well into service. 3050-3069, 3074-3189 all delivered for service, and 3010-3019 testing as of December 6.
  6. No I think the one that was saved got scrapped. (1966)
  7. Regarding NJ Transit's 4th generation ("D") Flxible Metros: * 1872 and 1885 are work buses. I don't know if these will be saved. * 1752 and 1950 are saved by private owners. * 1976 became a second Command Center 190. * 3710 is saved by a private owner. * 3778 is saved by the NJ Transit. If anyone has heard otherwise, feel free to correct me.
  8. Two Orion 5s (174 and 183) are now in NYC. I don't know who they're owned by now.
  9. From what I've heard, they are buying back their NJT-leased buses to replace the buses from GO Transit. Apparently the GO Transit buses are beat up, whereas the NJT-leased ones were well-maintained under Academy.
  10. Academy is purchasing some of the NJ Transit MCIs that were painted in Academy livery. There's at least a 1931 running (the GO Transit units end at 1930)
  11. Apparently 6182-6183 are out of revenue service and being repurposed as money train cars. Does anyone know where I can find images of 6182-6183 as money train conversions, and of 1092-1093, which were recently converted to 8004-8005?
  12. There is a #20 that was formerly 808 from Academy (ex-7871) There is a #19 that was formerly 814 from Academy (ex-7880).
  13. LFS-A 1226 was sitting at Eastchester a while back for some reason. Is it back in service?
  14. Apparently Transit Systems Unlimited has acquired some NJ Transit RTS-06s. At least 1515 (renumbered to 1215 by Transit Systems) has been spotted in the West Coast.
  15. Private Transportation in Brooklyn, NY (operates the B110) acquired 4403 and 4409. There seem to be at least one other unit.
  16. For Dave Mackey (who edits many NJT articles): MCIs 7401-7407, 7410, 7412-7416, 7418, 7505, 7606-7607, 7933, 8027-8029, 8033 are all in storage. MCIs 7491, 8764 are scrap.
  17. I may have seen 808 as another Cong Maten unit - would that be #19 now?
  18. In fact there are. Someone confirmed that there are units numbered 2129-2132 from Coach Canada. I don't know the exact numbers, and for sure it's not lower 49xx's (the ones with smaller destination signs).
  19. Few updates: LFS: * 2119-2123 all reassigned to NYU. * There is a 2132 going around. I don't know what system it came from. Orion 5: * At least 809 was retired and sent to Cong Maten as #18 (someone verify, should be easy as the former academy number hasn't come off yet) MCI: * There is a 1928 running around, also ex-GO.
  20. D60s 1001, 1007, 1024, 4705, and 4801 and D4500s 2929-2930 are retired. D4500CL 3158 and XD40s 7442 & 7467 are out of service due to damage.
  21. There was a #5 that was formerly UTA 9260. I don't know what happened to it. Recently, I saw a bus numbered #18 that had the number 808 or 809, seems like it came from Academy.
  22. The 2001 and 2003 Orion 5s sound like they have a Detroit Diesel Series 50 and an Allison B400R. The 1990s Orion 5s might have a Cummins engine, but I'm not sure.
