  1. Eglinton doesn't have the toughest routes... but it's unfriendly! (Compared to other Divisions, the people at the Wicket [the people you have to say 'hi' to before your shift] are rude. (Except George!!)
  2. Do you have a link to this article in the Star?
  3. Anyone know how master sign up works?
  4. Quick question I hope someone can help me out with. I'm a new(ish) driver, and my CZ license is expiring this year. The renewal slip I received in the mail states there is a written test ($15.25). Can anyone tell me what to expect with the test? Is it regarding air brakes? (I've tried Googling 'CZ License Renewal Written Test', but haven't found anything helpful.) If I go over my TTC Air Brake handbook from my initial training, will that be adequate? Any help will be appreciated.

  6. Lordie, lordie... ain't that the truth!!
  7. Passed my driving test today! Thank God that's over! Now that I'm a licensed CZ (?) driver, I'm picking up paying passengers tomorrow! God help them! (To dhb, we were all on here very recently asking everyone exactly the same questions, and whether or not we should give up. To paraphrase what a lot of us were told: 'Be patient. They're busy. They'll get in touch with you.' Best of luck.
  8. That makes sense. Wow... I'm actually eager to try some out now. My driving test day is on day 16 (Next Tuesday). Can't wait for this to be over!
  9. Any advice on how to do Alternate turns? Sometimes they're done at intersections with traffic lights, and other times, they're done at intersections with a stop sign.
  10. I'm on day 5 of training. I'm finding it a bit stressful, and I'm at the point where I just want the end to be near! On Day #2, I drove into Warden Subway station! DAY 2! I'm doing my 7 Bus Airbrake Checks tomorrow, and, even though I feel i know them, my instructor is so picky on the wording. I guess what I'm trying to say is I agree with williampaul above: Why the h*ll aren't you guys just thrilled that you actually got accepted for a job that you went after? I am thrilled; however, I do find this training a bit stressful..... I know, I know... I should toughen up and stop whining!
  11. I am now going to quit my current job of many years to begin training as a transit operator on Feb. 11. I've looked up 'the 7 step air brake test' as suggested earlier by leylandvictory2. Any other suggestions from experienced guys on how to better prep for training?
  12. I've been assigned to the Eglinton Division... anyone know whether this is a popular division or not?
  13. Congrats jeebs! I know you've been patiently waiting!
  14. Employment letter was signed Oct. 19; Medical was Oct. 23; Police Clearance was Nov. 11. I have no idea about a uniform or documentation session. Maybe I shouldn't be celebrating just yet; however, it was just so great to finally get a phone call after hearing nothing for so long. (But she definitely said I would be in a February training class after my reference checks were completed.)
