2257 has entered service for the first time this afternoon. This leaves 2256 as the last 2022 XD60 to see service.
Last yet to see service? Just making sure.

98 Willowdale-Senlac (RIP Orion VI and overall decent service)
It's my home route for as long as I have been in Canada.

Do these need a special exemption to get a permit since they are not the go anywhere kind?
IIRC anything 8100 and up are go-anywhere type. That 8205 also certainly looks like go-anywhere to me.

All routes free? (Edit: Brampton website only says no fare is required.)
I only know of Thunder Bay waiving all transit fares up till now.

I figure it’s been out long enough to display, this is the new presto device being installed on all BT buses in the coming months, so far I’ve only driven 1155 with it and it works pretty well with no major issues
im not sure if this is the final design for the operators controls, but I really hope they re design this
@Jan Boic you posted in DRT about theirs, more than likely it’s the same device to be installed GTA wide
At this point anything is better than whatever TTC currently has.

2075 and 2078 coming to you. Seen at Flying J at Headingley, just west of Winnipeg perimeter.

Why do they even bother putting ad racks on them when they get taken off and have that wrap applied.
TTC didn't think to opt out of the ad racks?

Latest TTC board meeting has just been posted on YouTube. Interesting parts about the LFLRV's from Bombardier's CEO, as well as the part 2 of the Auditor General's report on Presto. I had no idea it was such a fustercluck.
I will not be one bit surprised if Presto contributed to the animosity between Toronto and the province, and it will become worse in all senses.

Internally and in the the parts and maintenance manuals they are still referred to as hoodlum lights, regardless of their meaning in actual practice.
Ooh... we all learned something today.

Off topic, but when did TTC started putting hoodlum lights on their buses? In the mid 1990s? I know the 1996 Orion Vs (7000s and 7100s) had them, but not sure if anything else prior did?
Off topic, but I'll bite.
They are not hoodlum lights (I had to search for what it means), they mean the bus is accessible, starting in 1996 with the Orion Vs as you noticed.

Do you mean taking the heat the batteries produce as they charge/discharge or use electricity from them to power heaters, or a combination of both? Moving the heat generated by the cells in the battery pack into the bus would be great but might not be the easiest thing to pull off. I'm not sure they'd produce adequate heat to keep the inside of the vehicle comfortable though. Running electric heaters off the batteries could be done but at the wattages required, figure on around 10,000 W or so, it'd kill the range and endurance of the vehicle pretty quickly so I think a diesel fired heater's the way to go if the bus has to carry its own electricity supply around with it.
If the electrical system is liquid cooled, it should be possible to pull heat out (must have been done by someone already), my concern is: is there enough?

Relevant part on page 24, copied below for the lazy:
Vehicle Delivery: Due to repeated delays in delivery schedule from BYD and
delays to submission of non-bus deliverables required under contract, on May
3rd, 2019, TTC issued BYD a formal vendor performance review. Subsequent
letters were sent to BYD on May 6th and May 27th advising that TTC would not be
exercising options for additional buses under this contract and requesting follow-
up on the requested action plan to improve performance on the base contract for
10 eBuses. TTC has engaged in discussions with both New Flyer and Proterra
who have confirmed that they would be able to increase their option order by 5
buses each, allowing TTC to fulfill the Board directive to deliver 60 eBuses under
the Public Transit Infrastructure Fund even if the negotiated procurements were
not split equally between vendors. -

So now New Flyer build transit buses, highway and tour coaches, cutaways and double-deckers. What's left in the market?!
American style school buses?
My brother passed me this news too by way of Bloomberg. I thought world domination.

I think this is the closest place I can put this after some searching. Two MetroLINK Proterras caught at Iowa 80 truck stop being delivered, two of 5 according to their site. No numbers yet.

The crippled Nova bike racks still bugs me to this date. What makes carrying 2 bikes on a LFS so difficult?
And does it mean every other bus drivers in GTA operating LFSes are just "sucking it up"?
Disclosure: I have a bicycle with 700c wheels.

KMB electric buses just entered revenue service. Bus fans gather for a spot on the first trip as always. Sadly there is no tailpipe to jack off to.
52 BYD DD buses costs ~HK$200M (~CA$34M)
Not sure what of the electric E500. I sure hope Toronto leaves BYD at the 10 we already have.
