  1. Check out the old bus stop signs in this image of now retired bus #884: http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-images/6997485689/
  2. Spent a day in Lethbridge yesterday photographing buses and trains and stopped by the LA Transit Garage. I noticed that 1985 GM Classic #128 and 1988 MCI Classic #130 were parked and stored outside with the retired Fishbowls. I was informed that these two Classics were retired from service, but apparently the shop now has to get them ready and return them to service for the September route changes. I believe there is some expansion with this as well as they may even be returning 4 Fishbowls to service as well. 1976 T6H-5307N #'s 101, 119, 1980 T6H-5307N #'s 124 & 125 are the candidates apparently.

I have been hearing things on the news that Okotoks (just a bit south of Calgary), is one of the fastest growing communities the past while. Apparently they are getting close to 20,000 people. I wonder if there will be any talk of a small Transit System of some sort within the town. Currently, Southland Transportation operates commuter services to and from Calgary during the morning and afternoon weekday rush hours only. Comments? Corrections?

    Guelph Transit Commission

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone might have a run down on the LFS fleet for Guelph as in which each unit was delivered and fleet numbers? I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance!

2018 Novabus LFS CNG Sightings and Deliveries

#'s 8205-8354, 1625-1634, and 6074-6093 were all delivered fully painted. Not wrapped. However, they have gone back to having them delivered plain white and then wrapping them in the livery with this newest batch of CNG LFS buses.

    Coach Identities

I'll start this one off with a few images of a gold colored 1998-2000 Prevost H3-45 that I photographed in Bannf yesterday afternoon. This one has an Alberta plate on it, but that's the only identification on it that I know of. No legals, fleet numbers, or company decals were found on this unit. Anyone have an idea where this one is from? http://www.flickr.com/photos/vehicle-image...57626075547641/

    Coach Identities

I have been seeing this coach around a few times over the last several years but I have never been able to figure out what company operates it as there are no legals or anything. This same coach showed up at the Michener Allen Auction yard in N.E. Calgary, Alberta late last year and has since disappeared. The images below were captured on June 3, 2008 in the Village of Lake Louise.

    YYC Spottings

"United Airlines 6269Bird Strike YYC March 24 2013" Earlier this evening while plane spotting at YYC, I had noticed that there were quite a few geese flying across the airport property and sure enough after a couple of hours of watching. I saw a West Jet plane nearly hit one flock of geese while the others promptly changed direction and at least one of them crapped on the roof of my vehicle. Not long after United Airlines Flight 6269 to San Francisco taking off southbound on (Not sure of runway number) had a bird strike in the right engine. Moments after, the plane began to bank eastwards and came back in from the north end of the airport and did an emergency landing with fire trucks waiting nearby to respond. I managed to catch these two very crappy images of the engine shooting out flames. Due to the lighting, my camara was not ready to take the photos that I needed as I had no plans to take photos due to the lighting conditions.

Random Photos - Vancouver and area

I'll start this with some images of one of Vancouver's 1991 D40's when it was brand new. #3303 which was soon to be assigned to the Oakridge Transit Centre was on display during a bus rodeo at Burnaby Transit Center in the spring of 1991. http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/British...ncouver3303.jpg http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/British...couver3303a.jpg http://www.busdrawings.com/Transit/British...couver3303b.jpg

    1995 D40LF Fleet

As mentioned in another thread, #7590 seems to be the first 1995 D40LF to go through rebuilding and is still being done as of December 7, 2007 at the Spring Gardens shops. #7556 was spotted yesterday inside Big Rig undergoing rebuild as well. There is at least one other 1995 D40LF at Big Rig being rebuilt as well, but I could not see a fleet number. Lets keep track of the 1995 rebuilds in this thread.

    1995 D40LF Fleet

And that didn't last long. 7558 hasn't run since December 24th, 2018 and was parked again. Just got word from a contact yesterday that 7558 and 7579 have now both had their CAD systems removed. So that is it for the 1995 D40LF fleet. Time to keep a watch on the 1996 and 1999 D40LF's.

    Model vehicles (Except buses)

1977 Ford Granada and a 1981 Plymouth Horizon, both made by 'American Graffiti' - Motor Max.
  19. A rare vehicle in the Calgary HandiBus fleet, a Sprinter. I believe are only 2 or 3 of these in the fleet.

This is a new one to National... A Van Hool C2045, numbered 203. Enjoy!
  21. This may be one of my stops during a trip I am planning with another member of this board in April. So far while doing some google searches, I have found this photo of one of their Orion II's as well as a shot of a late 1990's or early 2000's Gillig Phantom on their website at http://www.mountainline.com Here's a pic I found on Flickr of an Orion II: http://www.flickr.com/photos/spera/2854452801/

    Niagara Falls Transit

At one time, Niagara Transit operated at least one GM Articulated back in the late 1990's IIRC. Possibly more than one? I have seen a photo of one of them, but don't seem to have it anymore. Does anyone on this board by chance have a photo of one of the Niagara Transit GM Articulated coaches that they could share? I don't remember the fleet number off hand. Edit: I was sure it was painted in NT colors??!

  24. Not sure if I posted this before, but about a year ago when I went out to Banff, I found two 1990 MCI Classics (Ex-Utah Transit Authority - Salt Lake City) running for the Sunshine Village ( http://www.skibanff.com ). I confirmed with staff at the Village that the buses are owed and operated by them for Parking lot shuttles and other needs. Now, this afternoon I got word that a Blue Bird Rear engine bus of some sort has arrived at Kirkman Bus Sales and is said to be for the Sunshine Village. I do not have photos of that unit, but when I find photos of the Classics, I will post them in this thread.
