  1. At least on paper. Could be a typo, but I guess we will find out very soon...
  2. Select buses (mostly artics) are equipped with a switch that enables a setting called Rapid Mode. Activating this switch changes the behaviour of the rear doors when the door handle is used. By default, turning the door handle to the "rear door open" position will activate touch bars (or motion sensors, in the case of some buses) on the doors which allow passengers to open them from the inside if they want to alight. With Rapid Mode activated, the rear doors will physically open as soon as the door handle is turned to the open position, and then a chime will sound before the doors close.
  3. About time we started getting the rest of the order. I don't think any new ones have entered service now for about three weeks.
  4. I spotted an Orion V being towed southbound on Highway 99 near Blundell just after 6 am this morning. I wonder if it was one of the ones from Poco being towed directly to retirement. I didn't go by the depot after that so couldn't check the retirement line.
  5. ...and yet my 301 did NOT get a double decker this morning. I was not impressed. At least I got upgraded to an Orion after my NoSub developed a noxious smell inside...
  6. Are you sure about that? A few hours ago I saw it behind the shops on the south side. There was a pre trip card affixed to the farebox. The south side shop tracks were extremely congested this morning. I brought a BO Nova Suburban back and had nowhere to park it without completely blocking the thoroughfare, so I had no choice but to leave it on track 1.
  7. The Community Outreach Bus (7112) is parked in the retirement line at RTC with the dead Orions.
  8. ...alright, NOW you are allowed to post in this thread. So far I have nothing to contribute.
  9. It appears that five out of the six regular 620s today are double deckers. I guarantee that on the off chance that I was working, and doing a 620, I'd be that number six.
  10. FFS it's not 2020 yet, don't make me lock this thread until 12:01 on Wednesday morning...
  11. 19411 and 19424 were spotted northbound Highway 17A at Ladner Trunk at about 10 am today.
  12. It's possible that one or more of the others that were delivered last weekend may also be ready to go. They were being moved around the yard this morning.
  13. ...and neither did the third bus on that departure, and HE missed the ferry!
  14. The conventional Reindeer Bus this year is one of the new 2018 Nova HEVs. I don't know the fleet number, other than that it ends with a zero. I did note, however, that the antlers have been mounted pointing backwards.
  15. "I read it on the internet, it must be true!"
  16. 19404 is scheduled to go into service this afternoon.
  17. 16214 had a driver barrier installed sometime in the past week.
  18. 9214 and 9263 are also now in the RTC retirement line. All other buses have been removed except 9206 and 9253.
