York University GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Toronto, ON. The station is located southeast of Keele St. and Steeles Ave., and a few blocks east of the York University Keele Campus, after which it is named for.

The station platform is on the west side of the tracks. Access to the platform is through a walkway between two industrial units from Canarctic Dr., where buses stop on the street. A Ticket Vending Machine is available inside a shelter on the platform for ticket purchases.

History

GO Buses have connected to York University using the Commons for many years, including route 64 providing service between Newmarket and York University, stopping at most of the stations along the Bradford/Barrie line. The station officially opened on September 6, 2002, although it had been in use since the beginning of the Fall semester for York University. York University extended its shuttle bus service to connect with the train at this time.

York University is identified as a temporary station. When the TTC extends the Spadina Line north, a new GO station will be built at Sheppard Avenue connecting to the subway, and the York University station will close. The subway is projected to open in 2015, so the GO station will not open at least until then.
