History

It commenced operations on July 7, 2008 with a week of free rides. The service utilized a van, until an 18-seat wheelchair accessible bus was ordered.

When the service was introduced, the town of Wasaga Beach created a contest to help design the logo for the transit service. A logo depicting a sun and a wave with the slogan 'Ride the Wave' was introduced as the contest winner.

Routes

Services for Wasaga Beach Transit occur in a loop from the Wasaga Stars Arena to the Real Canadian Superstore every hour from 7 AM to 7 PM Monday to Sunday. Buses serve the loop eastbound and westbound.

Fares

The fare to use Wasaga Beach Transit is $2. Seniors, students and children pay $1.50, while those under the age of 5 and the legally blind ride for free. 20 ride tickets are available at $30 for adults and $20 for seniors, students and children.
