In 2001, the A300 along with the other A Series of buses were redesigned with an updated look. The word "New" was added before the model name to signify the redesign.

This model is offered in a CNG and a liquefied petroleum gas powered option. In 2009, a diesel-electric hybrid version was made available. It is currently the only type of propulsion for the A300.
