It was previously known as the 61 Nortown, with the northern portion being done by former TTC route 1 Armour Heights.
- November 23, 2008 - Service increase during weekday peak periods, 9 minutes in the morning and 12 minutes in the afternoon. Service increase for early morning and evening Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Overall service improvement from 35 minutes to 30 minutes.
