Niagara Region Transit will provide better and new connections between the twelve different municipalities of the Niagara Region.
Regional council approved the three year pilot project on June 23, 2010. They granted money for new buses and operating costs to the three major cities' transit systems, Niagara Falls Transit, St. Catharines Transit, and Welland Transit. Regional transit in the Niagara Region has been discussed for many years, but finally became a reality on September 12, 2011.
