---This page is about the GO Train Station at Richmond Hill Centre. For the GO/YRT Bus Terminal, see Richmond Hill Centre Terminal.
Langstaff GO Station is a GO Transit train station located in Richmond Hill, ON. It is located north of Langstaff Rd., between Yonge St. and Red Maple Rd.
The station platform is located on the east side of the tracks, heading north from Langstaff Rd. underneath Highways 407 and 7. The station building is located north of Highway 7 in Richmond Hill, along with the bus loop, station building and north parking lot. A small, secondary building exists south of Highway 407, by Langstaff Rd. in Markham, along with the south parking lot. Tickets are available at the station during AM rush hours only, and a Ticket Vending Machine is available at other times.
History
Langstaff was opened along with the rest of the Richmond Hill Line on May 1, 1978. The original station building on Langstaff Rd. still stands, but a new larger and more modern one was constructed north of Highway 7, and the address of the station was subsequently moved to reflect the main location.
YRT built Richmond Hill Centre Terminal on the road connecting Yonge St. and Highway 7, just across the tracks from Langstaff. While the terminal opened in September 2005, no direct connection was made between the two locations, and buses were diverted around to the bus loop at Langstaff to make train connections. A bridge was opened in March 2008 finally linking the two sites together.
The importance of Richmond Hill Centre over Langstaff GO became apparent when the new GO route 40, beginning service on April 28, 2008, went to Richmond Hill Centre and not the GO station. Similarily, the 407 East services (routes 51, 52, 54) were routed away from Langstaff (they formerly stopped on Langstaff Rd., outside of the station) into Richmond Hill Centre in Spring 2011.

The majority of routes connecting to Langstaff GO now do so at nearby Richmond Hill Centre Terminal, although the bus loop is still maintained.
