5 Erb West is a conventional bus route operated by Grand River Transit. This route connects Uptown Waterloo with the communities of Westmount, Beechwood, Beechwood West, and Westvale.
Route 5 is interlined with route 35 at Uptown Waterloo.
It is also one of the few routes in GRT that do not connect to any transit terminals.
On Sundays, upon arrival at Uptown Waterloo, the route travels King, right Erb, left Regina, left Bridgeport, left King back to Uptown Waterloo.
As part of the 2013 Proposed Service Improvements Plan, plans are to provide two-way service along Erb Street West to The Boardwalk with a routing down Westvale Drive.
