Route 8, Edmonton Transit System's longest route, is a mainline route that runs from east Edmonton's Abbottsfield area to Mill Woods via Kingsway and downtown. This route also serves Grey Nuns Community Hospital, J. Percy Page School, Holy Trinity Catholic High School, Mill Woods Recreation Centre, MacEwan, South Campus, Millbourne Market Mall, W.P. Wagner School of Science and Technology, Bonnie Doon Shopping Centre, L'Academie Vimy Ridge Academy, MacEwan - City Centre Campus, St. Joseph High School and Ascension Collegiate, NAIT, and Rexall Place.It is one of eleven routes (1, 4, 8, 9, 30, 32, 82, 111, 128, 139 and 180) that is always assigned bike rack-equipped buses.
