Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Limited, operating as Dragonair, (traditional Chinese: 港龍航空有限公司) is the airline based in Hong Kong, it is also the subsidiary company of Cathay Pacific Airways.

The airline was established by Mr. KP Chao in May 1985, and started operations since July, 1985 with Boeing 737 service from Hong Kong to Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia.

In 1990, Cathay Pacific Airways was acquired 35% holding from Chao's family. At the same time, Cathay Pacific Airways was transferred the flights to Beijing and Shanghai with their Lockheed Tristar L-1011 aircraft to Dragonair.

Dragonair became wholly owned by Cathay Pacific Airways since 2006, and it was joined the Oneworld alliance as an affiliate member on 1 November 2007.
