Areawide Community Transportation System is the fixed route transit provider for the cities of Anniston and Oxford, Alabama.

Overview

Areawide Community Transportation System or ACTS, formerly known as Anniston Express, operates fixed route transit service in the cities of Anniston and Oxford, Alabama. Routes also extend to the town of Hobson City and the city of Weaver.

In 2010 ridership on ACTS buses was 84,144 [1], the largest amount of riders in the system's history.

ACTS operates four routes total which run on an hourly frequency:

Fares

The following fares are charged on ACTS buses:

A valid ID is required to take advantage of many of the reduced fares.

Bus Fleet

ACTS Operates a total of eight buses. These are small light-duty body on chassis units. Chassis are Ford E-450 while the bodies are produced by various manufacturers.
