  • 0157, 0161, 0162?, 0163, 0164 & 0165 were bought by Jarretts Auto & Bus Sales in Harbor City, CA.
    • The Orange Empire Railway Museum (OERM) in Perris, CA acquired 0163 & 0165. John "Lucky" Luchsinger acquired the buses for MUNI and temporarily stored them at his home before their arrival on MUNI property. 0165 was used for parts and was scrapped around the late 1990's.[9] 0163 is currently undergoing restoration by MUNI.

  • 2137 bought by a private owner for an RV conversion project in the 1970's (Lic. Plate: 732 HAB). It eventually drove to Oklahoma. It was found in Guthrie, OK in 2017 and in October 2020.[12]
  • 2144 was spotted in San Jose at an unknown time and is likely no longer there.

  • 2360 was bought by a private owner in Spokane, WA for an RV conversion project. It was listed on Craigslist in 2016.

  • 3057's front end was replaced with a rebuilt 1963 TDH-5303 front end from Ex-NYCTA 3816 after an accident.[14][15]
  • 3112 was damaged during delivery and was replaced with a 2nd 3112. The original 3112 was rebuilt and returned to MUNI as 3390.
  • 3209's front end was replaced with a rebuilt 1963 TDH-5303 front end from Ex-NYCTA 3630? after an accident.[16] It sported a different version of the Muni Landor paint after being repaired.[17] It retired in 1985, sold and was driven to Tijuana, Mexico.
  • 3210 was the USA bicentennial bus and sported a patriotic inspired Landor livery in 1976.
  • 3265, 3272, 3277 & 3307 tested the EIP (Environmental Improvement Program) exhaust package.
  • Retired in 1984-1985[18] & 1988-1989.
  • 3004 was bought by Green Tortoise.
  • 3153 was rehabbed in-house by MUNI. It was retrofitted with an air starter (along with other rehabs). It was bought by a private owner and was used on the TV show Nash Bridges. It later sat in Williams, CA, before being acquired by 2nd private owner circa 2016.
  • 3210 was bought by a private owner in 1989, preserved and repainted back into the bicentennial scheme in 2000.
  • 3226 was bought by Loren Joplin/Dreamliner Bus Leasing & Service in 1989. It was later sold to a private owner in Southern California.
  • 3227 & 3240 were bought by Maria Transportation in Hoboken, NJ in 1989.
  • 3270 is preserved by the Pacific Bus Museum.
  • 3287 is preserved by MUNI. It was repainted & restored in 1988.

  • Refurbished by Dickenson & renumbered in Dec. 1982-1984.
    • Originally when being renumbered after rehab, 400 was added to the original fleet numbers. For example, 3005 became 3405. However due to large gaps in fleet numbers, they were renumbered in the order of when they were rehabbed (starting with 3501 as rehab #1 and ending with 3649 as rehab #149).
  • Retired in 1989 to May 1994.

  • 6082 was totaled in an accident during delivering. It was replaced by a 2nd 6082.
  • 6089 was repowered with a Sierra-Detroit Diesel 6L71TA engine in the early 1990's. It was used as a test bus for the MAN engine repowering program. More engines were ordered for the repowering program. However, no other buses were repowered and the engines sat until they were eventually auctioned off. The engines may have been scrapped.
  • Retired in 2000-2002.

Historic Streetcar Roster

Muni operates two historic streetcar lines. The F-Line, which opened in 1995, connects Fishermans' Wharf, the Ferry Building, Downtown, and the Castro. The route uses a combination of PCC streetcars, streetcars from Milan, and historic streetcars from around the world. The E-Line, which opened in 2015, connects Fishermans' Wharf, the Ferry Building, Caltrain, and Oracle Park. The E-Line only uses double-ended streetcars. All PCC are based out Cameron Beach Yard .

  • 1212 crashed into 1255 at the Van Ness crossover in the Muni Metro subway in 1987. The good halves were used to build a new 1255 and the wrecked halves were scrapped in February 1994.
  • 1213 is preserved by the Oregon Electric Railway Museum.
  • 1226(?) was acquired by Derby, England for government inspection. Its safety inspections failed and the unit sat abandoned until it was scrapped circa 2016.[38]
  • 1258 is preserved by the Western Railway Museum.
  • 1268 (renumbered 1264) was kept by MUNI and was stored on a track off of Duboce St., before ultimately moving to the Cameron Beach yard. However, it was scrapped in April 2016.[39][40][41]
  • 1271 was bought by Certified Towing in Richmond, CA. It was originally used as an office in the late 1990's and later was used for storage. It was listed on Craigslist on 12/26/2022.[42]

  • 1326 was acquired by Derby, England. It was tested in Manchester England, but eventually derailed. It was scrapped shortly after its crash and after 1226(?) initially failed its inspection.[38]
