Caledon Transit
Caledon Transit was a private company providing transit service in Bolton, southeast of the town of Caledon.
History
Service began in April 1999 with three third-hand Grumman-Flxibles buses purchased from National Refurbishing (NRI) operating two routes with one bus as a spare. There were considerations to expand into the Caledon East community as well as to provide connections to Brampton Transit, Vaughan Transit, GO Transit and the Toronto Transit Commission. Caledon Transit was privately operated without municipal subsidy. Service only lasted for a few months, and service ceased in August 1999 due to very low ridership.
