Brampton Transit 9014-9028

Brampton Transit 9014-9028 were Orion I (01.508) buses built in 1990 by Orion Bus Industries. This order was the first equipped with Air Conditioning, and the last Brampton order for Orion I's, which were the workhorse of Brampton's fleet for many years.

Most of this series has been refurbished, some keeping their Luminator flip dot destination signs, later ones receiving new Luminator digital displays. A few have received wraps over the years. As of April 2009, the remaining units in this series were not equipped with bike racks.

With continuing deliveries of new low floor buses and designating of many routes "accessible" (high-floor only), the remaining fleet of Orion I's had been relegated to non-accessible routes, lighter ridership routes, rush hour service, school specials and extra runs on accessible routes. The remaining buses were split between Clark (9014-9015) and Sandalwood garages (9016-9028).

All have been retired by June 2011, which marked the end of Orion I's in service on for Brampton Transit.
